2. Description of the Service
Petuvo is an app for managing pets. The app provides in particular the following features:
- creation and management of pet profiles
- management of daily routines
- calendar and appointment management
- optional export of appointments to the device calendar
- diary with optional photos
- PDF export of diary entries
- management of emergency contacts ("Medical SOS")
- entrusting a pet profile to other users via a sharing code
3. Registration and Account
To use Petuvo, an account must be created using an email address and password. Sign-in is performed through Firebase Authentication.
Users undertake to:
- provide truthful information during registration,
- keep their login credentials confidential and not disclose them to unauthorized third parties,
- notify us immediately if they suspect that their account is being used without authorization.
Users are responsible for use of their own account to the extent required by law and to the extent such use is attributable to them.
4. Free Version, Trial Period, and Pro Version
In the free version, one pet profile can be created.
In the free version, the diary is additionally limited to a maximum of 10 entries per pet.
New accounts may receive a seven-day trial period during which Pro features can be used. After the trial period expires, and unless the Pro version is purchased, the account is downgraded to the functionality of the free version.
The Pro version currently includes in particular:
- unlimited number of pet profiles
- unlimited diary entries (in the free version, a maximum of 10 entries per pet)
- entrusting pet profiles to other users (up to 7 people in addition to the owner)
- PDF export of the diary
Petuvo currently shows no advertising regardless of the chosen plan. This is currently not a distinguishing feature of the Pro version.
The Pro version is purchased once through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS); there is no subscription. Prices and payment terms are governed by the respective store.
5. Permitted Use
Petuvo may only be used within the limits of applicable law and for its intended purposes.
In particular, the following is prohibited:
- posting or transmitting unlawful content,
- abusive use of the app,
- attempting to bypass technical protections or manipulate the app,
- using another person's login credentials without authorization,
- any use that may impair the security, integrity, or availability of the app.
6. Notice Regarding "Medical SOS"
The "Medical SOS" feature is intended solely to store veterinarian or emergency veterinarian contact details entered by users for a pet and to initiate a normal phone call through the operating system when the phone number is selected.
Petuvo itself:
- does not provide veterinary or medical services,
- does not verify the accuracy or currency of the contact details entered,
- does not mediate contact with veterinary professionals.
7. Liability
We aim to provide Petuvo in a manner that is as uninterrupted and error-free as possible. However, continuous availability cannot be technically guaranteed.
Liability is unlimited in cases of intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body, or health.
In the case of slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Essential contractual obligations are those whose fulfillment is necessary for the proper performance of the user relationship and on whose compliance users may regularly rely.
Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
8. Account Deletion and Termination
The account can be deleted at any time through the app settings. In addition, a webpage with information and contact regarding account deletion is available at petuvo-app.com/konto-loeschen. Google Play requires apps with user accounts to provide an additional web-based deletion option or a webpage for deletion requests. For more information: support.google.com/googleplay
Upon deletion, the account and the created content, in particular pet profiles, routines, appointments, and diary entries, are permanently removed, including the Firebase Authentication account.
Where pet profiles were entrusted to other users, those profiles are also deleted when the owner deletes the account. The accounts of the persons it was entrusted to remain unaffected.
9. Changes to the Service
Petuvo may be further developed; features may be adjusted, added, or removed, where this is necessary for technical, legal, or operational reasons and reasonable for users.
Users will be informed of material changes that significantly affect the use of Petuvo in an appropriate manner, for example in the app or on the website.
